LeapFrog was founded 20 years ago to help one child learn to read. Now, we’ve helped millions.
Just over 20 years ago, LeapFrog founder Mike Wood was searching for a way to help his child learn to read. Even more than building skills, he wanted his child to feel confident and excited about learning, and he knew he was not alone.
Mike believed that children learn best when they are having fun, and it didn’t take him long to prove it. In 1995, he launched LeapFrog, along with the first LeapPad learning system—an exciting interactive reading system that brought books to life.
Some things never change
LeapFrog has been innovating bestselling educational solutions ever since, which have touched the lives of more than 150 million children in over 16 countries worldwide.
As educators, parents and children at heart, we’re committed to helping kids to reach their potential, and to have as much fun as possible along the way.
Because over the years the research has proven Mike right: a love for learning is just as important as learning by itself. We hope to inspire millions more children, for decades more to come.
